Pan Pacific Hotels Group Appoints Andreas Sungaimin as Senior VP, Human Capital & Development

Andreas will drive the development of the Group's global leadership talent and capability as the company prepares to welcome over 600 new associates with three openings by the end of next year.

February 28, 2014 - Pan Pacific Hotels Group has appointed Andreas Sungaimin as Senior Vice President, Human Capital & Development. Based at the corporate headquarters in Singapore, Andreas will lead the Human Capital & Development team to focus on Pan Pacific Hotels Group's leadership talent and capability development as the Group expands its global portfolio under its “Pan Pacific” and PARKROYAL brands. Andreas will also be responsible for enhancing employee engagement and service excellence standards across the Group's 38 hotels, resorts and serviced suites in Asia, Oceania and North America.

Andreas joins Pan Pacific Hotels Group with more than 30 years of Human Resources experience in the hospitality industry as well as from private and public sector organisations in Asia Pacific, Middle East and North America.

Prior to his appointment, Andreas was Head of Human Resources and Organisational Development at Raffles Hotels & Resorts for six years. During this time, he successfully drove the company's employee engagement as well as talent acquisition, development and retention strategies, and led the refinement of the Raffles service culture.

Andreas has previously held senior management positions in Human Resources with Hilton, The Hong Kong & Shanghai Hotels Group and the Hong Kong Jockey Club. Early in his career, he also served as a Principal Consultant in the areas of Human Resources, Change Management and Organisational Design for PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consulting, Asia Pacific.

At present, Pan Pacific Hotels Group employs some 6,600 associates across over 30 “Pan Pacific” and PARKROYAL hotels, resorts and serviced suites in Asia, Oceania and North America.

By the end of next year, the Group expects to welcome more than 600 new associates with the opening of PARKROYAL Nay Pyi Taw in Myanmar (2014), Pan Pacific Hotel and Serviced Suites Tianjin in China (2014) and PARKROYAL Rainbow Hills Bogor Resort in Indonesia (2015).
