Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal Appoints Erik Rivera as Director of Food and Beverage

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is proud to announce the appointment of Erik Rivera as Director of Food and Beverage at the award-winning beachfront resort. Rivera brings a wealth of experience and passion for hospitality to this role, with a proven track record of success in the luxury hospitality and culinary industry. As Director of Food & Beverage, Rivera will oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort's multiple culinary outlets including the award-winning cliff-side dining restaurant El Farallon, signature three-meal restaurant Don Manuel's, Agave Study, Neutral Coffee Lab, TRAVESÎA, and beyond. Rivera will also help further develop the resort's annual Festival of Flavors, collaborating closely with Executive Chef Gustavo Pinet to bring some of the world's most notable chefs to the resort for a one-weekend-only gastronomic adventure.

Rivera joins the team from Rosewood Mayakoba as Director of Food & Beverage, where he was instrumental in achieving numerous accolades on behalf of the property including recognition in North America's 2023 ‘50 Best Bars' and US News & World Report's 2024 ‘Best Hotels in Mexico.' Previously, he also worked at Rosewood Las Ventanas al Paraíso as Restaurant Manager where he oversaw the resort's culinary and restaurant team for over 13 years.

Born in Cuernavaca Morelos and raised in Cabo San Lucas, Rivera has a deep appreciation for the region and its culture. He is eager to share his passion with guests at Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal and create standout food and beverage experiences that showcase the best of the region's flavors and culinary heritage.

In his free time, Rivera enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, listening to music, reading, and vacationing anywhere where you can find beautiful views, including the beach, lagoons, or mountains.
