January 15, 2014 - Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa, the #1 golf resort in Texas, is ringing in new executive talent in the new year. The resort today announced the appointment of Riaan Nel as director of food & beverage, John Boulware as director of finance and Tom Moore as director of engineering.

Riaan joins the team as Director, Food & Beverage from the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pa., where he served as area director after serving two stints with Fairmont and Hyatt Hotels. Originally from South Africa, Riaan is a graduate of Cesar Ritz Colleges, Le Bouveret.

Boulware brings extensive experience to his position as director of finance, having worked at luxury resorts such as Omni Mount Washington in New Hampshire and Cap Juluca in the Caribbean, along with two Houston-area Omni properties.

Moore brings facilities and project management expertise to his new position as director of engineering. Most recently, Moore served as director of facilities for Alliance Residential where he led the residential community physical asset preservation for Austin and San Antonio. Additionally, Moore has worked as director of engineering at the Hotel Galvez in Galveston and the Driskill in Austin, Texas.
