January 9, 2014 - Viceroy Hotel Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Pilar Rios as the Area Director of Sales and Marketing for its two luxury Mexico resorts, Viceroy Zihuatanejo and Viceroy Riviera Maya.

Ms. Rios, who has more than 15 years of executive experience in the hospitality industry, came to Viceroy from Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts where she was Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Mexico.
Previous she held senior management positions with Sol Melia Hotels and Resorts including serving as: Senior Director of Business Development, responsible for positioning the company's three premium brands of Paradisus Resorts, Gran Melia, and ME by Melia; Director of Sales and Promotions, responsible for the company's leisure sales team in North America, and Director of Sales and Marketing, Melia San Lucas Hotel, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (now ME Cabo).
