Aston Hotels & Resorts Welcomes Matt Bailey as Chief Operating Officer

HONOLULU, HI - January 7, 2014 - Aston Hotels & Resorts is proud to welcome Matt Bailey as chief operating officer. In his new position, Bailey is responsible for Aston's daily operations and is based at the company's Honolulu headquarters.

Bailey has more than three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, most recently serving as managing director at the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa on Maui, where he was responsible for overseeing over 1,500 employees. He previously worked for three years at Aston as senior vice president of operations, and has held key management positions at hotels and resorts throughout Hawaii, Utah, California, Texas and Nevada.

Bailey graduated with a bachelor's degree in hotel administration from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. He has held numerous professional memberships, currently serving on the board of the Maui Hotel & Lodging Association. He has also recently served as chairman of the Maui Visitors Bureau and on the board of the Hawaii Hotel & Lodging Association. He was recognized as the “Hotelier of the Year” by the Utah Hotel & Lodging Association during his time as vice president and general manager at the Sundance Resort in Sundance, Utah.
