Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group Appoints Rachael Marret as Senior VP, Customer Engagement

Minneapolis - July 22, 2013 - Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world's largest and most dynamic hotel groups, today announced the appointment of Rachael Marret as senior vice president, Customer Engagement, effective July 15, 2013. Rachael will report to Suzy Riesterer, chief commercial officer. In this newly created position, Marret will play a key global leadership role within the Commercial organization to drive customer engagement and build lasting loyalty with our company and brands.

As we continue to build our global organization and team in support of our Ambition 2015 strategy, we were fortunate enough to have Rachael return to Carlson," explained Riesterer. "She brings more than 20 years experience in the online space, encompassing all aspects of digital marketing strategy and development to Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group. Rachael's past successes with global clients make her an asset in this new position.

Marret's key responsibilities include loyalty, e-commerce, social media, mobile, customer insights and data analytics functions; working closely with distribution, revenue management and marketing to integrate and maximize key global initiatives to drive revenue and profits for Carlson Rezidor hotels. Marret will also liaise with Branding to ensure the alignment of brand strategies, standards and the delivery of services throughout the Commercial organization, with our theater presidents, global partners and revenue generation teams to ensure alignment and implementation of customer engagement initiatives.

Marret returns to Carlson where, from 1991 to 2001, she played marketing leadership roles, including the initial launch of the hotel group's ecommerce and interactive marketing disciplines. Most recently Marret served as president of Campbell Mithun, Inc., where she was the first female president in the advertising firm's 80-year history, and the director of Integrated Client Services since 2010. Previously she served as executive vice president and Minneapolis managing director for MRM Worldwide, a leading global digital marketing agency.
