Stephen Cummings Named GM of Loews Denver Hotel

Prior to joining Loews, Cummings was the executive chef at the St. Regis in Aspen, Colorado and chef de cuisine at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach in Florida.

March 30, 2011 - Loews Hotels announces the promotion of Stephen Cummings to the position of General Manager for Loews Denver Hotel.

“In his 12 years with Loews Hotels, Stephen has demonstrated the kind of leadership that will help Loews Denver gain both market share and visibility in the Denver area,” said John Thacker, Regional Vice President of Operations, Loews Hotels. Stephen joins the hotel after holding the Executive Assistant Manager position at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Arizona. Throughout his tenure at Loews Coronado Bay Resort, 1999 to 2006, he held the roles of director of rooms, director of food and beverage and executive chef.

Prior to joining Loews, Cummings was the executive chef at the St. Regis in Aspen, Colorado and chef de cuisine at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach in Florida. A native of England, he arrived in the United States in 1991 and quickly earned the title of executive chef at The Ritz-Carlton, New York, where he helped the hotel's restaurant earn the prestigious five diamond award from the Automobile Association of America.

Cummings earned his culinary diploma at the Oldhan College of Technology in Manchester, England.
