The Dagny Boston Appoints Ersela Muka-Ylli as General Manager

USA, Boston, Massachusetts. March 06, 2025

The Dagny Boston announces the appointment of Ersela Muka-Ylli as General Manager. Tapping a love of the city and two decades of management experience earned on the local hotel scene, Muka-Ylli oversees operations, sales and marketing, and outreach to ensure rewarding stays for guests of the independent hotel located at the corner of work and play between the Financial District and Downtown.

Muka-Ylli has held several roles since arriving to the property in 2020, when it was formerly operated by Hilton. She started in Rooms and rose to head the department before becoming Director of Operations and then Assistant General Manager. Following the hotel's reflagging and debut as The Dagny Boston in summer 2023, she showcased how flexible and adaptable she can be when she shifted focus to become Director of Human Resources before returning to her previous position as Assistant General Manager and then being promoted to General Manager.

Hailing originally from picturesque Berat, Albania, Muka-Ylli immigrated with her family to the U.S. when she was 13. She initially studied pharmacology and interned at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston before switching to hospitality, inspired by her first hotel job. She earned a bachelor's degree in hotel administration from Newbury College in Brookline and further honed her skills through the Front Office Academy of Hilton.

Muka-Ylli launched her hotel career in housekeeping at Revere Hotel Boston Common in 2002 and went on to become Director of Rooms at the InterContinental in Newton, Massachusetts; Front Office Manager at Hilton Boston; and Director of Operations at Ames Boston Hotel, where she was integral to the conversion of the property to the Curio Collection by Hilton.

Now right at home leading The Dagny Boston, Muka-Ylli is excited to gild the hotel's guest experience to draw new transient business and leisure clientele. "We are going all out on service and creating new experiences to ensure that we earn the loyalty of travelers seeking the best location to explore Boston," she said, noting the recent additions of Wellness Rooms, weekly activations, and seasonal pop-ups, that invite guests to experience the renovated hotel's dynamic duality, seamlessly blending modernity with history and work and play between Boston's Financial District and Downtown. "Our team has a lot of pride in what they do, and my goal is to ensure we continue to work together to show guests what Boston is all about."
