Ensemble Celebrates Sustainability Month With Three Hotels Earning 'Green Key Global' Certifications

Three Ensemble Hospitality Properties Achieve 'Green Key Global' Certification, Solidifying the Company's Commitment to Sustainable Practices

USA, Long Beach, California. October 21, 2024

Ensemble Investments, LLC (Ensemble) is proud to mark October's Sustainability Month by announcing the "Green Key Global" certification of three of its hospitality properties: Dream Inn Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz, California; Hyatt Place Pasadena in Pasadena, California; and Best Western Plus Arroyo Roble Hotel & Creekside Villas in Sedona, Arizona. These certifications highlight Ensemble's dedication to advancing sustainability across its portfolio.

Ensemble hospitality's managed properties are on track for Green Key Global certification, with assessments already completed at six locations and additional properties in progress. Green Key Global, originally launched by the Hotel Association of Canada in 1994, is a globally recognized sustainability certification program. As of 2024, more than 5,000 hotels in 60 countries have earned the certification, which has expanded rapidly in the U.S. following a joint partnership between the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) and the Hotel Association of Canada (HAC).

Each of Ensemble's properties has established a dedicated sustainability committee to guide them through the rigorous Green Key Global assessment process. Green Key Global certified hotels are evaluated across various sustainability metrics, including energy and water conservation, solid and hazardous waste management, indoor air quality, community outreach, and environmental management.

"We are thrilled to have achieved Green Key Global certification at Dream Inn," said Darren Pound, Vice President and General Manager of Dream Inn Santa Cruz. "This achievement is a testament to our unwavering dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship and perfectly complements our continued efforts in coastal cleanup and protecting our natural surroundings."

A Legacy of Sustainability and Growth

Ensemble, headquartered in Long Beach, Calif., manages a diverse hospitality portfolio of 14 hotels across 12 markets in five states. The company partners with prestigious brands such as Hilton, Marriott, and Hyatt, generating more than $200 million in annual revenue and employing over 1,000 team members. Enjoying a long-standing history of delivering superior hotels over a variety of product types, brands and markets, Ensemble Hospitality has established itself as an industry leader.

"As a company, we are deeply committed to minimizing our environmental impact while providing exceptional guest experiences," said Kristi Allen, Executive Vice President of Hotels at Ensemble. "Achieving Green Key Global certifications at three of our properties during Sustainability Month is a significant accomplishment that reflects our ongoing efforts to create eco-friendly and sustainable operations across our entire portfolio."

To further its commitment to sustainability, Ensemble recently launched the "Sustainable Travel with Ensemble" program, aimed at reducing the company's carbon footprint. This initiative focuses on five key areas: carbon offsetting, minimizing waste, reducing single-use materials, managing water consumption, and prioritizing sustainable food sourcing. As part of these efforts, plastic water bottles have been eliminated at all Ensemble properties, and single-use amenities have been replaced with refillable dispensers at Dream Inn Santa Cruz and Best Western Sedona.

This level of skill allows them to deliver tailor-made solutions that not only elevate guest experiences but also generate financial success.
