LITTLE ROCK, AR, December 11, 2006. Theresa Main-Kyzer has been selected to serve on the 2007 National Tour Association Leadership Team.

As a member of this team, Main-Kyzer, Director of Leisure Sales at the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau, will assist the NTA Board of Directors in the decision-making process by acting as the vital link between the general membership and the board.

"NTA always has been and continues to be a volunteer-driven association," Main-Kyzer said. "NTA is the premier trade association for the travel industry and I am honored to have been asked to serve a vital role in the development of future programming."

Theresa has worked for the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau for the past eleven years, first as the visitor information services representative, then as group travel assistant, as tour and travel sales manager, and currently as the acting director of leisure sales. She and her team promote the city of Little Rock as America's newest destination for tour groups, family reunions, and individual leisure travelers both foreign and domestic.

Theresa is recognized as an industry leader and has served on the board of the Heart of Arkansas Travel Association, Hostelling Arkansas and the Firehouse Hostel and Museum. She is a member of the American Bus Association, NTA, International Motor Coach Group, Student Youth Travel Association, and Travel Industry Association. She serves on a variety of committees within these organizations. Theresa also mentors students at Arkansas universities who are seeking degrees in the hospitality industry. "NTA's Leadership Team is fundamental in guiding the association along the best course for its membership," said NTA Chairman and CEO Randy Julian. "Theresa and the other members of the Leadership Team allow the association to fully utilize the tremendous wealth of talent available from its members. Through them, NTA can strengthen its position in the packaged travel industry."

The National Tour Association has a global membership of tourism professionals involved in the growth and development of the packaged travel industry.
