Barbados, Bridgetown. April 16, 2025

Wyndham Grand Barbados, Sam Lord's Castle All-Inclusive Resort & Spa, has announced a new leadership appointment with Barbadian Reuben Leroy Browne joining the resort's senior management team as General Manager.

Leroy is responsible for overseeing the smooth operations of the resort, ensuring guests receive the highest quality service, and developing strategies to meet revenue growth targets. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked in the hospitality sector for more than 30 years after earning a degree in Hospitality Administration and Management from Cornell University.

Joining from Royalton Antigua, Leroy has held the position of General Manager for almost 25 years and has also worked at the British Colonial Hilton Nassau in the Bahamas, Sea Breeze Beach House in Barbados, and Hilton Trinidad & Conference Center in Trinidad and Tobago.

"I am thrilled to return to Barbados and step into such a pivotal leadership role at Wyndham Grand Barbados, Sam Lord's Castle All-Inclusive Resort & Spa," says Leroy. "This opportunity truly excites me, and I eagerly anticipate taking on this new challenge alongside the dedicated team at the resort, as well as the broader Wyndham Grand Hotels & Resorts family."

Leroy's extensive experience in the hospitality industry also extends to Food & Beverage, where he has built a reputation for curating exceptional dining experiences. Under his leadership, Wyndham Grand Barbados is set to enhance its culinary offerings, with several exciting new initiatives already underway for 2025.

The resort will be expanding its dining options, introducing new menus, food trucks, rum tastings, and exclusive experiences such as the weekly Oistin's Experience, which brings the lively atmosphere of Oistin's, a beloved staple of Barbadian culture, to the resort. Additionally, guests will soon be able to indulge in fresh culinary concepts, including a new food truck offering Korean bowls and a luxurious barbecue on the beach.

"Leroy's extensive experience in the Caribbean tourism industry, including more than a decade as General Manager, makes him an exceptional fit for this role," says Christian Bocam, Vice President of Operations & Support, LATAMC, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. "I'm excited to collaborate with him to elevate the resort's operations and am thrilled to welcome him into the Wyndham family."
