Laia Climent Appointed Director of Sales and Marketing for the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, and the Ritz-Carlton, Bal Harbour Miami
The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, and The Ritz-Carlton, Bal Harbour, Miami, are delighted to announce the promotion of Laia Climent to Market Director of Sales and Marketing. With over 21 years of experience in luxury hospitality, Laia brings a wealth of knowledge, global expertise, and a proven track record of driving new business, exceeding revenue goals, and leading diverse, high-performing teams.

Laia began her journey with Marriott International in 2004 at Hotel Arts Barcelona, a Ritz-Carlton property. Over the next decade, she held key roles in Rooms Operations and Meetings & Special Events at The Ritz-Carlton properties in Naples, Powerscourt, Ireland, and Amelia Island. In 2013, she transitioned to W Hotels in Barcelona, her hometown, where she also served as W Brand Ambassador.
In her prior role, Laia led the Luxury and Entertainment teams for the Account Sales Organization, consistently delivering exceptional results and motivating her teams to achieve their full potential. In 2024, her leadership resulted in record-breaking success across both group and transient business segments.
Her career accomplishments are complemented by her academic achievements, including a Bachelor of Hospitality and Hotel Management from the University of Barcelona and a Bachelor in Protocol and Institutional Relations from Pompeu Fabra University. Most recently, Laia completed Marriott's Emerging Leaders Program, further demonstrating her commitment to professional growth and excellence.
Outside of work, Laia enjoys cycling, sailing, attending live entertainment events, and reading on the beach. She also loves traveling with her family and friends, embodying the spirit of adventure that aligns with the Ritz-Carlton brand.
