Aj Gallow Appointed New General Manager for Hilton Garden Inn Bethesda Downtown
Hilton Garden Inn Bethesda Downtown has appointed AJ Gallow as the new General Manager of the recently renovated hotel. In this role, Gallow will oversee all aspects of the hotel's operations, optimizing business development, leading the management team, and spearheading efforts to deliver exceptional guest experiences through new programming and activations.
"I am honored to join and lead the Hilton Garden Inn Bethesda Downtown team," says AJ Gallow, General Manager. "I look forward to working with our talented staff to continue to deliver outstanding service, create a welcoming atmosphere, and build on the hotel's success. Bethesda offers such rich history and culture, and it is a privilege to play a role in that experience for our guests."
With over ten years of hospitality industry experience, Gallow most recently served as Area General Manager for Quorum Hotels & Resorts in Maryland, overseeing day-to-day operations for Homewood Suites Laurel, Hilton Garden Inn Columbia, and Hampton Inn College Park. Prior to that, Gallow was General Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Annapolis and dual-brand property Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites Hanover Arundel Mills. Gallow first began his hospitality career in 2010 as a Front Desk Agent at The Westin Annapolis, quickly earning the "Employee of the Year" award during his first year.
"We could not have selected a more suitable candidate than AJ Gallow to helm Hilton Garden Inn Bethesda Downtown," says Chris Harrison, Managing Partner at Dauntless Capital Partners, which owns the hotel. "Gallow brings a wealth of diverse experience from his previous roles, which is complemented by his extensive knowledge of the region, making him an ideal fit for the position. We are confident he will lead the hotel to new levels of community and success."
A proud Marylander and dedicated father, Gallow spends his free time with his son, Gianni, bonding over their shared love for baseball and basketball. Gallow also enjoys participating in outdoor activities with the family dog, Marley, an Anatolian Shepherd.
Gallow's homecoming to the Hilton Garden Inn brand comes on the heels of the hotel's recent four-million-dollar transformation including the lobby, meetings and events spaces, bar and lounge, restaurant, and a new fitness center. The renovation ushers in a newly reimagined era for the 216-room property with contemporary and purposeful design elements complemented by technological enhancements such as amplified Wi-Fi capabilities, keyless locks, and UNO Net television systems. Whether guests are traveling for business, attending an event, or enjoying vacation, the welcoming, pet-friendly oasis provides a relaxing and convenient base to explore all that beautiful downtown Bethesda has to offer. The hotel is located within walking distance to trendy shops and restaurants, just one block from the Bethesda Metro Station, six miles to historic Georgetown, seven miles to downtown Washington D.C., and easily accessible from all major market airports.
