Benchmark Appoints Jean Ascher Controller

HOUSTON, TX, September 20, 2006 Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed Jean Ascher controller of The Northland Inn, a hotel and executive conference center located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, near Minneapolis. Charles Nehme, CHA, general manager, made the announcement.

"It is with sincere pleasure that I welcome Jean to Benchmark Hospitality at The Northland Inn," said Mr. Nehme. "She is a seasoned hospitality executive with many years of experience in hospitality finance and in the Minneapolis market. We look forward to her leadership at the property."

Jean Ascher brings extensive expertise in financial accounting to her new role. She has held the title of controller for a variety of hotels, country clubs and conference centers throughout her distinguished career.

Ms. Ascher served in controller positions for HMC Property Management of Edina, Minnesota, and the Camberley Brown Hotels of Louisville, Kentucky. She was employed by InterContinental Hotels for over a decade, serving as controller for properties in Minneapolis, Toronto, New Orleans and Cleveland. She also served as the opening controller for Scanticon Hotel and Conference Center in Plymouth, Minnesota, operated by Scanticon International of Princeton, New Jersey. Jean Ascher attended the University of Minnesota. She resides in Minneapolis.
