Nationally Renowned Hotel Management Company Takes Over Bartlesville Holiday Inn
Leisure Hotels & Resorts Plans to Make Hotel a Regional Asset
LEAWOOD, KS, July 25, 2995. Leisure Hotels & Resorts, a Kansas City-based hotel management company, has been awarded management of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Holiday Inn on SW Washington Blvd.
The Leisure Hotels team and the hotels owners say they have aggressive plans to improve the quality and services the hotel offers to Bartlesville visitors.
"We're proud to assume the management of this hotel, which is well positioned to offer hospitality to guests in town for business or pleasure," said Leisure Hotels President/CEO Steve Olson. "We're going to maintain the areas of the hotel that are working well, and work hard to improve other areas that we feel need attention." Olson said the company's goal is to operate a high-quality hotel that "Bartlesville residents will be proud of."
Leisure has developed extensive plans to reposition the hotel and make major renovations to the rooms, public space, and restaurant. The rooms will undergo a full upgrade in amenities and furnishing, which will enhance the guests complete room experience. The curb appeal of the hotel will change with the added landscaping and exterior improvements designed to welcome any guest. Complete renovations are planned to add an upscale bar and restaurant. Leisure Hotels and owners of the hotel are in discussions with upscale chains as well as local restaurateurs.
The 106-room full-service Holiday Inn opened in 1978 and is one of the few hotels in the area. It features a heated indoor pool, saunas, a fitness center, on-site laundry and valet laundry/dry-cleaning service. There is also a new business center in the hotel and on-site meeting coordinators who assist with arranging conferences, banquets or other functions for up to 200 people.
Summer Ewers, the hotel's Director of Sales, is excited about working under the management of Leisure Hotels. "Everyone at Leisure has been great to work with, very positive," Ewers said. "They have a lot of experience and big plans to dramatically improve the property. Under their management, and the planned upgrades, I see this becoming one of Bartlesville's best hotels."
