Steigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt Opens in Berlin
May 6, 2014 - Steigenberger will operate the hotel on a 20-year lease. The project's owner and developer is STRAUSS & PARTNER Development GmbH. The architectural design for the building has been prepared by Ortner & Ortner of Berlin.

Steigenberger Hotel Group The German capital is about to acquire a new Steigenberger Hotel in the form of a First Class Hotel located in Berlin's rapidly growing Europacity district near to the main station and Chancellery. TheSteigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt is a four-star Superior Hotel that extends over a total floor area of approximately 23,000 m2 and offers 339 rooms including 23 suites. It will open on 1 May.
It also boasts a restaurant area which extends over an area of 700 m2 and features exclusive private dining facilities and an open-cooking station. The hotel offers an 850 m2 conferencing and meeting centre and a 400 m² Ballroom/multi-functional space. The top floor of the eight-storey building is home to an extensive Spa and Health and Beauty Centre, where guests can relax whilst enjoying direct views over the Federal Chancellery and the River Spree. Some 500 square metres of rental space are available on the ground floor for restaurants and retail outlets.
The new Steigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt has been certified in accordance with the standards of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) for its sustainable and environmentally friendly design.
