Minneapolis, Minnesota - February 24, 2014 - The unique ice skating rink located within one of America's last remaining 19th Century train sheds at The Depot Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel has been honored with important national consumer travel awards. The Depot's ice rink is located indoors within the original train shed, now known as The Depot Pavilion. The Pavilion is directly linked to a stately Italian Renaissance-style former train station - now the luxurious Depot Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel -- as it has been since the 19th Century.

Previously, The Depot Pavilion's skating rink has been nationally recognized by USA Today (Best Ice Rink) and MSNBC (Top 10 Ice Skating Rinks). The Depot's skating rink has shared good company in these honors, including the iconic Rockefeller Center rink in New York City, the National Gallery of Art skating rink in Washington, DC, and the rink at the legendary Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego.
