Mark Sneen Named as Hotel Manager of 553-room Palace Hotel, San Francisco

San Francisco, CA - February 20, 2014 - The Palace Hotel, a Luxury Collection hotel, is pleased to announce Mark Sneen as the new Hotel Manager of the iconic San Francisco property. Mark comes to the Palace from the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa where brought his enthusiastic and visionary leadership to the entire team in his role as Resort Manager.

In his role as Hotel Manager at the Palace, Sneen is an instrumental part of the executive team lead by General Manager, Christophe Thomas. Mark will oversee all areas of operation for the 553 room luxury hotel. Working with the rooms division, food and beverage, engineering, fitness center, security and purchasing, Mark's expertise and attention to detail will elevate the Palace guest experience. Sneen is enthusiastic about working in a landmark property in San Francisco; "I had the pleasure of contributing to the Palace while on a task force assignment in December 2013. Sneen is a cross-generational leader with a passion for luxury destination resorts and has more than twenty years of experience in resorts with proven results in: growing experiences, creative revenue growth while adapting to market trends and cultivating deep cultures of guest and associate loyalty. He is highly effective in the strategic decision making process with action based follow- through and metric based results.

Prior to his role as resort manager at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa, Sneen was the Director of Restaurants and Bars where he was a driving force of the team that spearheaded the award-wining Forbes Five Star, AAA Five Diamond Kai Restaurant culture and concept.

Sneen received his Master's in Business Administration (Executive Platform) from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Recently praised on a top 25 list by The Wall Street Journal, the school ranks high at number 13 among the best executive MBA programs in the world. Curriculum and field of study included a public policy class conducted in Washington D.C. and an international session in Austria and the Czech Republic.

Sneen received his B.A. in Hospitality and Tourism from the University of Wisconsin Stout and has extensive experience in the hospitality industry. Sneen has spent more than 20 years consistently delivering world-class results at several esteemed Phoenix/Scottsdale properties in various senior management roles.
