First Hospitality Group, Inc. Hires Two GMs at Midwestern Hotels

ROSEMONT, IL - February 18, 2014 - Rosemont, Illinois-based First Hospitality Group, Inc., (FHG) announced today the hiring of Nicholas Johnson as the general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Milwaukee, and Jerry Mahshie as the general manager of the Hampton Inn, Bloomington in Indiana. FHG President and COO Robert Habeeb made the announcement.

“Our company is currently experiencing notable growth with a number of new hotels under development and more management contracts, which has allowed us to continually recruit the industry's best talent for all of our properties,” said Habeeb. “Nick and Jerry have already proven to be strong team members who will maintain the high-bar for service, experience and culture that has been set at their respective hotels.”

Johnson, a six year hospitality industry veteran, most recently served as the GM at the Ironworks Hotel in Beloit, Wisconsin, where he gained industry experience in hotel renovations, pre-opening, revenue management, operations management and leadership initiatives. The Hilton Garden Inn Milwaukee Downtown opened last year after FHG managed its extensive conversion from the historic Loyalty Building.

Mahshie has more than 25 years of diverse experience in the hotel industry that includes a variety of roles, notably as an executive chef. Immediately prior to joining FHG, Mahshie served as the general manager at the Hilton Garden Inn Indianapolis Northwest, where he specialized in operations, P&L, revenue and cost controls. He brings these skills to the 129-room Hampton Inn conveniently located next to Indiana University and Memorial Stadium, just a mile from downtown Bloomington.
