Hilton Waikoloa Village Announces Three New Additions to its National Sales Team

January 28, 2014 - Hilton Waikoloa Village - the 62-acre oceanfront resort on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii - welcomes three new members to the sales team, Jane Mato as director of national accounts - West, Karen Rudd as director of national accounts - Midwest, and Jonathan Clausen as director of leisure sales - Far East transient and domestic wholesale.

Jane Mato's industry involvement includes positions on the Board of Directors for MPI Southern California Chapter and experience as an account director at The Line Hotel, Los Angeles. Additionally, Mato handled sales at the AAA Five Diamond L'Ermitage Beverly Hills and multiple positions within Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Mato will concentrate on the West Coast accounts from Wyoming to California in addition to targeting technology as a vertical market.

Karen Rudd joins the Hawaii based team with an extensive background in sales, most recently serving as national sales director for Peabody Orlando where she was awarded the 2010 Sales Manager of the Year. With nearly 15 years of hospitality sales experience, including a position as assistant director of sales at Hilton Orlando at Lake Buena Vista, Rudd's coverage blankets the Midwest from Ohio to Kansas and will also include incentive houses.

Jonathan Clausen, who has previously worked for Hilton Hawaii and Hilton Grand Vacations Club in Honolulu, will target all wholesale markets including Asia, where he has successfully developed and maintained positive relationships with Japanese, Chinese and Korean travel wholesalers. During his time at Starwood Waikiki, Clausen was recognized as Sales Manager of Year in 2011 for North America division of Starwood Hotels.

Mato, Rudd and Clausen join Robert Korin, director of national accounts - East, and Jan Tucker, director of national accounts - recently deployed to cover South markets, in servicing the many groups Hilton Waikoloa works with around the nation.
