Charlestowne Hotels Announces Corporate & General Manager of the Year

Charleston, SC - December 27, 2013 - Charlestowne Hotels is proud to announce the corporate manager and general manager of the year. Jared Hassard, corporate revenue manager, and Brent Gresham, general manager of French Quarter Inn, were both recognized for their outstanding performance, leadership and remarkable results during the past year.

Jared Hassard joined Charlestowne Hotels as a corporate revenue manager in June of 2011. Since then, Jared has worked with more than 10 hotels to implement strategies and oversee the day-to-day activities that affect each hotel's overall occupancy and daily room rates. His leadership and hard work has resulted in a 10% or greater increase in revenue growth for a majority of the hotels he has worked with. Among those hotels are French Quarter Inn, HarbourView Inn, The Elliott House Inn and Andrew Pinckney Inn, all located in Charleston's Historic District.

Brent Gresham was appointed general manager of the highly-acclaimed French Quarter Inn in January of 2012. During the past two years, Brent has reorganized the hotel's executive team, overseen a multimillion dollar bathroom renovation and implemented a guest satisfaction program that has allowed the hotel to consistently rank as the #1 hotel on the popular online review site, TripAdvisor.com. This year, French Quarter Inn was honored with quite a few prestigious awards and mentions, including Conde Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Award and Gold List (Platinum Circle), TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, and Travel & Leisure's World's Best Small City Hotel Award.
