SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA - November 7, 2013 - Continuing its tradition of excellence, the Residence Inn Dana Point San Juan Capistrano hotel is proud to announce its new general manager.

Grace D. Miane has taken over at one of the premier hotels in San Juan Capistrano. Miane has a long track record of successes and innovations, working with Marriott for the last 14 years at properties with more than 100 rooms.

"I am excited to return to California not only to work at this state-of-the-art, custom-built Residence Inn by Marriott but also to rejoin family and friends," Miane said. "The hotel had a very successful opening in 2012 and enjoys an outstanding reputation among extended-stay guests in Orange County. I look forward to preserving that past while enhancing services and accommodations for future visitors."

Miane most recently served as General Manager of the Residence Inn Reno in the Lake Tahoe/Reno market, overseeing a comprehensive renovation project that was completed in April 2012. The Reno Residence Inn by Marriott hotel has been recognized for its breakthrough leadership as well as consistent high guest satisfaction scores during Maine's 5-year tenure. The hotel earned numerous Market Share index awards and Revenue management engagement recognition from the ownership group.

Miane started her career with Marriott International as a front desk clerk at the San Francisco Airport Courtyard. She was promoted to Sales Account Manager and was part of the opening team for the San Francisco Oyster Point Waterfront Courtyard & Residence Inn by Marriott. Her career progression includes different management positions and leadership roles within Marriott Select Service brands in the San Francisco/Bay Area & Manhattan Beach, CA.

Miane is passionate about sharing her skills and innovations with the surrounding community as well. Since 2008, she has been a business council member for Children's Miracle Network in partnership with Renown Children's Hospital in Northern Nevada. Through her efforts, the Reno hotel also was recognized by the 152nd Wing Command for its community relations partnership with the Nevada Air National Guard.

She loves to travel internationally and experience different cultures. She loves hiking and playing golf - and most of all spending time with her two adorable nephews, Miguel and Rafael.
