David Martinez Named DoSM for 1,230-room Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach, HI

HONOLULU, HI - October 31, 2013 - Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa announces the appointment of David Martinez as the new Director of Sales and Marketing for the 1,230 room resort. An enthusiastic hospitality professional with 14 years of Hyatt experience, Martinez brings to the resort a strong knowledge of global and leisure travel markets and a long history of sales and marketing successes in the hospitality industry. Martinez most recently served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Hyatt Regency Jersey City.

A graduate of New Mexico State University, Martinez began his career at Hyatt as a Corporate Management Trainee, gradually rising through the ranks over the years, serving in Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, and most recently Hyatt Regency Jersey City. An accomplished hospitality professional with experience in all aspects of sales and marketing, Martinez's career with Hyatt has seen numerous highlights including establishing the highest annual occupancy for Hyatt on the North American mainland in 2012, training some of Hyatt's most productive sales managers, and serving as Corporate Director of Transient Sales.
