Executive Housekeeper at Denver's Curtis is One of CH&LA's Employees of the Year
October 30, 2013 - The Curtis - a Doubletree by Hilton is pleased to announce that its Executive Housekeeper Linda Swearingen was recently honored by the Colorado Hotel & Lodging Association as one of its “2013 Employees of the Year.”
The Colorado Hotel & Lodging Association has more than 650 members that represent more than 40,000 guestrooms throughout Colorado. The Employee of the Year Award recipients were selected from more than 120 applicants and represent some of the best in Colorado's lodging industry.
Swearingen has worked for the Curtis since it opened in 2007. She has been awarded Sage Hospitality's “Manager of the Quarter” on multiple occasions and in 2011 was named the “Manager of the Year.” Hotel Management Magazine also recognized Swearingen for helping to introduce the “cart-less concept” to the industry.
“Linda has a huge heart and is so passionate about her job, she inspires others to work hard,” said JoAnn Elston, the “Leading Lady,” or General Manager of the hotel. “She is an exceptional leader who teaches and mentors her team on a daily basis. We're thrilled that she has received this honor.”
