Hawkeye Hotels Gears Up For Growth with Addition of Karl Grover as COO
October 1, 2013 - A seasoned hospitality veteran, Karl Grover joins Hawkeye Hotels with 30+ years of hotel industry experience. During Grover's 28-year career with Marriott International, he has worked in various roles for the global hotel company, including operations, full service franchising, training, selection, quality assurance, a full service General Manager and in Select and Extended Stay franchising. In his last position, Grover served as Vice President of Franchising, Residence Inn and TownePlace Suites, The Americas. Grover's most recent position was with ColWen Management as their President and Chief Operating Officer. He holds a Bachelor Degree of Science, Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Karl and his wife Molly have three adult children, Erin, Logan and Patrick.
In his new role with Hawkeye Hotels, Grover will be responsible for overseeing operations, strategic position and ensuring companywide alignment of Hawkeye's 35+. Hawkeye has just recently closed on 2 acquisitions, one in downtown dallas. Also they are set to open 3 hotels and start construction on 3 hotels in the next 90 days.
