Cushman & Wakefield Adds Two Executives
Key hires in London and Rio de Janeiro
New York - August12, 2013 - Cushman & Wakefield, the world's largest privately-held commercial real estate services firm, today announced Ian Thompson and Lindsay Gordon had joined the firm in the company's Valuation & Advisory (“V&A”) practice. Based in London and Rio de Janeiro respectively, in their new roles both Ian and Lindsay will focus on expanding V&A's full range of valuation and advisory related services in the hospitality sector within their regions.
Ian joins the firm as a Partner, having most recently been at GVA where he headed up the hotel valuation team, specializing in loan security valuation work as an RICS Registered Valuer. Prior to GVA, Ian was employed by Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels as Senior Vice President. “Ian's background and experience, coupled with his industry expertise in not only the UK, but also EMEA, is a perfect match for our group's global growth,” said Stephen Richardson, Partner, Hospitality.
Lindsay rejoins Cushman & Wakefield and will serve as the Regional Manager for Latin America. She started her career in hotel operations with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Toronto, Canada, worked with C&W V&A's Hospitality team in NY and was most recently with Ernst & Young's Brazil's Fixed Asset valuation group. “With the recent developments in the Latin American markets, Lindsay has returned to Cushman & Wakefield at a great time,” said Marcelo da Costa Santos, Vice President. “She will be able to focus on her specialty with hospitality-related assets across the region.”
