FUKUOKA, JAPAN - July 17, 2013 - AGORA Fukuoka Hilltop Hotel & Spa, a 48-guest-room premium resort hotel managed by AGORA Hospitalities Co. Ltd., will mark its grand opening on Sunday, September 1, 2013.

WORLD-CLASS SPA MANAGER. The Hilltop Spa is managed by Kazuko Sendo, a seasoned professional who has worked extensively overseas, including as Spa Trainer at the renowned Six Senses Resort & Spas. Holistic therapy treatments are done completely by hand.

After becoming interested in the relationship between nature and the body and taking a course in natural beauty therapy in Australia in 1998, Ms. Sendo became a beauty therapist at Clarins Gold Salon in Double Bay near Sydney. In 2000 she traveled to England to build her skills and career, obtaining International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC) certification and further experience and being appointed Spa Manager at London's myhotel Chelsea. In 2005 Ms. Sendo was hired at the world-famous Six Senses Resorts & Spas. In Hua Hin, Thailand, summer resort of Thai royalty, she treated global celebrities and media professionals as a holistic consultant. She went on to serve as an area trainer, cultivating spa professionals in the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and the Middle East. After returning to Japan in June 2008 and working in the Japanese spa industry, she launched Sakura Beauty Labo, a by-reservation-only private salon, making the expertise she has accumulated around the world available to women in Japan. In addition to running Sakura Beauty Labo, Ms. Sendo will act as Spa Manager at AGORA Fukuoka Hilltop Hotel & Spa starting in 2013.
