Stefano Ruzza Appointed as GM for Conrad Koh Samui in Thailand

KOH SAMUI, Thailand - July 2, 2013 - Conrad Koh Samui announced the appointment of Stefano A. Ruzza as the resort's General Manager. Ruzza will be responsible for overseeing all of the resort's management, operations and will lead Sales & Marketing team to position Conrad Koh Samui as one of the best luxury resorts in the Gulf of Thailand.

Ruzza joins Conrad Koh Samui from Hilton Namhae Golf & Spa Resort in South Korea where he held the position of general manager and was responsible for leading the team in improving overall service standards as well as introducing new food and beverage concepts to enhance guest experiences. Prior to that, he was the director of operations at Hilton Colombo in Sri Lanka where he looked after operations and general management, as well as the business development team between 2008 and 2010.

"Ruzza has more than 16 years of international hospitality experience - over 14 of these are within Asia - and we are confident that he will add a dynamic, personalized and creative approach to the resort operations and lead the team in continuing Conrad Koh Samui's positioning as one of the best luxury resorts in the Gulf of Thailand," said Dirk de Cuyper, regional general manager, Hilton Worldwide.

Originally from Switzerland, his work has taken him to countries such as India, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Singapore and Vietnam.

Ruzza graduated from Swiss Hotel Management School (SHL) in Lucerne. He is an Italian-swiss hotelier who can speak fluently in English, German, Italian, French and Spanish.
