Barnsley Resort Announces New Directors of Marketing, Public Relations and Food & Beverage

June 5, 2013 - Barnsley Resort announced today the addition of new management team members Shelby Taylor, director of marketing and public relations, and Aaron Stiles, director of food and beverage. Possessing strong backgrounds in the luxury hospitality industry, both Ms. Taylor and Mr. Stiles will continue to build upon the standards of service for which the award-winning Barnsley Resort, located just north of Atlanta, is known.(www.barnsleyresort.com)

Now responsible for all marketing communications and public relations for Barnsley Gardens Resort, Ms. Taylor brings more than 15 years of experience with premier hotels within the travel industry. Most recently she was director of public relations for Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, California, near Los Angeles, a position she held since 2002. As a member of the hotel's pre-opening team, she was responsible for local, regional and national media coverage for the 270-room AAA Five Diamond-rated hotel, along with promotions and marketing communications. In addition, she was responsible for communications for the on-site California Health & Longevity Institute located within the hotel.

Prior to joining Four Seasons Hotels and Resort, Ms. Taylor was the director of public relations for The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii. Her long tenure with the prestigious company also included an appointment as the corporate public relations manager for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. at its headquarters in Atlanta. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor of arts in journalism and a major in public relations. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling internationally, dining out and cooking.

Like Ms. Taylor, Mr. Stiles' lengthy career in the hospitality industry features multiple appointments with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. Most recently, he was the food and beverage director for the Mansion on Peachtree and aided in the re-branding of this property as the Mandarin Oriental Atlanta. Prior to that he worked extensively with The Ritz Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. He opened The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation serving as one of the company's youngest food and beverages managers, operating both casual and fine dining concepts. Before working with the iconic Georgia property, he led the opening of the banquet department at the renowned Ritz-Carlton, Key Biscayne in Miami where he assisted in training and development. His career began with The Ritz-Carlton, Buckhead where he held two management positions. Stiles received his education at the Art Institute of Atlanta.

As director of food and beverage for Barnsley Resort, Mr. Stiles will be creating new signature programs and creative dining experiences at the expansive 3,300 acre property that features The Woodlands Grill and Rice House restaurants, a Beer Garden, and numerous unique outdoor catering and event venues.
