Thomas Steinhauer Named GM For New Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort

An 18-year veteran of Four Seasons, Steinhauer will make the transition from Maui to Orlando in July joining the pre-opening team as the Resort prepares to open its doors in 2014

May 29, 2013 - Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort marks the next chapter in a more than 30-year hotel management career that has taken the Austrian native across the globe, developing deep industry knowledge and expertise at key Four Seasons properties including the iconicFour Seasons Hotel New York and Four Seasons Hotel Boston. He is currently General Manager and Regional Vice President of the award-winning Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, where the Resort's signature Unforgettable Events series continues to win praise.

In his current position Steinhauer manages the daily operation of the 380-room AAA Five Diamond and Mobil Five Star Maui Resort, which employs close to 800 staff members and is consistently rated among the top resorts in the world. In addition, he provides guidance forFour Seasons Spas in the Americas Region.

Set to open in 2014, Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort is located within the gates of a residential community, Golden Oakat Walt Disney World® Resort, just five miles (eight kilometres) from theMagic Kingdom® Park and four miles (six and half kilometres) fromEpcot®. Accommodations include 444 guest rooms and 68 suites with versatile connecting options ideal for families and groups of friends travelling together. A Tom Fazio-designed golf course will be refurbished and managed by Four Seasons with options for golf at leisure and group events. Indoor and outdoor treatments will be enjoyed in the Spa's 18 treatment rooms and gardens.
