Westin Seattle Completes $35 Million Renovation; Welcomes Relish Burger Bistro

March 12, 2013 - The Westin Seattle, an AAA Four Diamond award-winning downtown Seattle hotel, announces the completion of its $35 million renovation with the opening of Relish Burger Bistro on March 1, 2013. The restaurant is the final piece of a complete makeover, transforming more than 455,000 square feet of hotel property.

“The Westin Seattle has been a downtown landmark and integral part of the Seattle skyline for decades, and the renovation is just one step to provide our guests with the best possible experience,” said Diane Holliday, general manager of The Westin Seattle. “From the use of zero VOC paint, which ensures guests are not exposed to harmful compounds, to adding new meeting space, we've taken in every consideration to give our guests the best vacation and event venue in town.”

The contractor of the hotel renovation is Turner Construction Company and J.R. Abbott Construction Inc. is the contractor of the Relish space; both projects worked with architect DLR Group, interior design company Kay Lang + Associates, and Mark G. Anderson Consultants managed the renovation projects.

The renovation encompasses 891 guestrooms as well as corridors, lower lobby, main level and mezzanine levels, as well as the creation of an additional 13,500 square feet of meeting space. With guest comfort a primary concern, guestroom amenities including finishes, bathrooms and furnishings received updates.

Centrally located in downtown Seattle, the Westin provides 891 guestrooms within walking distance of the Washington State Convention Center, Pike Place Market, the Monorail and other landmarks. Each guestroom features a signature Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Bath and guest amenities include access to the 24-hour WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio with indoor pool and whirlpool, Westin Kids Club, and 24-hour business center.
