California’s Westin San Diego Bayview Unveils $20 Million Renovation

The Westin San Diego Bayview has completed a comprehensive $20 million renovation intended to elevate the guest experience, marking a significant transformation of its 436 guest rooms and meeting spaces in the heart of downtown San Diego. Located just steps away from the waterfront near the Gaslamp Quarter and destinations like Petco Park and the San Diego Zoo, the extensive renovation creates a calming urban oasis focused on exceeding guest expectations at every turn.

Aimbridge Hospitality, a leading global third-party management company, operates the property and oversaw the renovation, with design by HVSDesign.

The hotel's 436 rooms, including five luxurious suites, now create a serene retreat for guests with the new design blending tranquility and nature. The reimagined rooms, with options for city or bay views, come to life through organic elements and a soothing color palette, infused with natural accents like headboard wall coverings made of soft, natural cork with pink hues and a metallic sheen. The lighting crafted from natural elements reveals captivating patterns along the walls when illuminated, enhancing the peaceful environment.

The hotel's meeting spaces have also been revitalized to offer contemporary and sophisticated accommodations for events of all sizes. These spaces, which span more than 30,000 square feet of space, can accommodate various group sizes and have been updated to feature state-of-the-art amenities in a refreshed space to ensure a seamless experience for corporate meetings, social gatherings and more.
