Andy Seal Appointed GM at Marriott Richmond Downtown

Seal moves into his new position at the Apple REIT 7-owned hotel from the JW Marriott Indianapolis

June 25, 2012 - White Lodging Services announced Andy Seal has been named as the general manager of the Marriott Richmond Downtown.

"I am pleased to have the opportunity to lead the great team at The Richmond Marriott," said Seal. "I hope to add value for the shareholders of Apple REIT 7, White Lodging, and the Richmond community. My family and I look forward to living in Richmond and experiencing the southern hospitality that the city is known for."

An 18-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Seal has held a number of positions at a variety of hotels across the country. Most recently, he was the resident manager at the JW Marriott Indianapolis, but also has fulfilled the roles of director of food and beverage, assistant general manager, director of sales and general manager.

"Andy has a strong record of driving guest satisfaction results, including leading the JW Marriott Indianapolis to the top of brand rankings in overall satisfaction and overall service categories," said Regional Vice President John Randall.

In his new position, Seal is looking forward to increasing guest and associate satisfaction at the hotel and partnering with the Richmond community to help attract new business.

The 18-story Marriott Richmond Downtown, 500 East Broad Street, offers 405 rooms and five suites as well as 40 meeting rooms and 26,427 square feet of meeting space. The hotel has a newly renovated lobby and two dining options, T. Miller's Sports Bar and Grill and the Liberty Bar. An onsite Starbucks is also available for guests.
