Steve Janicek New GM at Ritz-Carlton Denver

April 25, 2012 - The Ritz-Carlton, Denver announced the appointment of Mr. Steve Janicek as General Manager. With more than 25 years of industry savvy, Janicek will oversee daily hotel operations, as well as the successful food and beverage, rooms, and sales and marketing divisions.

A hospitality career that began with Stouffer Hotels landed Janicek at the helm of his most recent post, as General Manager of The Lodge and Spa at Cordillera in the Vail Valley for the past three years. He joined The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company L.L.C. in 1990 for the opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Aspen. During his seven-year tenure at the hotel, he held multiple strategic positions including National Sales Manager, Associate Director of Sales and Director of Sales and Marketing.

Janicek continued to chart his course and cultivate his experience as a Director of Sales and Marketing for a collection of hotels including hotels including: The Coeur d'Alene Resort, The Miramonte Resort, The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix, The Lodge at Rancho Mirage and Vail Cascade Resort and Spa. Following a three-year segue as Vice President of Sales and Business Development in a related field, his leadership was warmly welcomed back to the Colorado luxury hospitality industry in 2009.

Janicek earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at Humboldt State University and resides in the Denver area with his wife, Theresa and three children, Sasha, Alexa and Jack.
