Mary Ellen Hamor Appointed Corporate SM at La Costa Resort
May 28, 2010 - Mary Ellen Hamor has been appointed corporate sales manager of La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., an inspiring meeting destination and tranquil retreat for families, golf enthusiasts and spa-goers alike. Hamor brings over 20 years of experience in sales, consulting and executive management to her new position at La Costa.
Most recently, Hamor was a manager of Global Accounts for HelmsBriscoe, where she booked over two million dollars in hotel room revenue for association, corporate and non-profit clients.
Prior to HelmsBriscoe, Hamor was a hotel consultant for Tower 23 Hotel in San Diego, Calif., and the director of sales for Hotel Parisi in La Jolla, Calif. Hamor began her hospitality career in New York at Ultramar Travel Management International, The Park Central Hotel and the prestigious hotel collection of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
Hamor received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania. Her professional affiliations include the Board of Directors of the San Diego Business Travel Association (2007-present), Green Meetings Industry Council, Co-op America Business Alliance, Society of Incentive Travel Executives, and the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce.
