Hampton Opens Seven Hotels In October
MEMPHIS, TN, November 13, 2006. Hampton (www.hampton.com), the national brand of more than 1,350 mid-priced Hampton Inn(R) and Hampton Inn & Suites(R) hotels, has opened seven properties in October 2006-- representing 678 new rooms. The new openings include five Hampton Inn hotels and two Hampton Inn & Suites properties. All openings are franchised newly constructed hotels.
"This month, we have continued to see our hotel development area widen," said Phil Cordell, senior vice-president, Hampton brand management. "With the opening of two hotels in Florida, another in Texas (bringing us to 99 hotels total in that state) and our fifth property to open in Vermont, we are setting the pace for a wide-reaching growth plan that will continue to take shape this year. And this is just the beginning -- we have even more in store development-wise for 2007," added Cordell.
From a product development standpoint, Hampton is the final stages of implementing its new bedding package, featuring a crisp, white duvet cover, enveloping a plush 200-thread-count comforter, white sheets and the guest's choice of down or foam jumbo size pillows. The new bedding package will be available at all Hampton hotels by year-end 2006.
