Matthew Vesely Appointed DS&M, The Resort at Singer Island

SINGER ISLAND, FL, August 11, 2008. The Resort at Singer Island, a member of Starwood's elite Luxury Collection, located oceanfront in Palm Beach County, announces the appointment of Matthew Vesely as Director of Sales & Marketing. Vesely brings over 15 years of international luxury hotel management experience to his new position, having most recently held the Director of Sales & Marketing post at the The Ritz-Carlton, Westchester.

Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton, Vesely spent 10 years in the luxury hotel market in London, where he was Director of Sales at the London Marriott Park Lane at its opening. He also served four years as Corporate Sales Manager for The Churchill InterContinental and held sales management positions with The Grosvenor House and The Langham Hilton.

Vesely holds a degree in hotel management from Modul-International Hotel Management College in Vienna, Austria. He has also completed numerous sales and leadership programs throughout his career. He is a member of several trade organizations including Meeting Professionals International, Professional Convention Management Association, and National Business Travel Association.

Vesely's duties include overseeing advertising and public relations as well as managing the hotel's business, group travel sectors and catering sales.

He lives in Jupiter with his wife Esther and children Alex & Oliver, but still finds time to enjoy golfing.
