Tom Roelens Named GM Four Seasons Resorts Lana'i

HONOLULU, HI, April 15, 2008. Tom Roelens has been named general manager of Four Seasons Resorts Lana'i, inclusive of both Four Seasons Resort Lana'i at Manele Bay and Four Seasons Resort Lana'i, The Lodge at Koele.

Roelens, a veteran of the hospitality industry, has 22 years of experience in some of the most exclusive and luxurious destinations in the world. He makes the move to Hawaii from Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, where he served as general manager. Prior to the Maldives, Roelens was with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Jakarta, Indonesia and Newport Beach, California. His past experience includes appointments in Bali, Indonesia; Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Brussels, Belgium, where he was born and raised.

Roelens is a graduate of the Hoger Technisch Instituut in Bruges, Belgium, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management. He also completed the Executive and Professional Education Program with Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration. He lives in Lana'i City with his wife Sara, is an avid traveler (has visited 37 countries) and enjoys SCUBA diving.
