Geoff Young, Managing Director at Sanderling Resort, expressed his enthusiasm in announcing the new appointments stating, "We are thrilled to welcome Connie Brewer and Amy DiBiase to the Sanderling Resort family. Their extensive experience and passion for hospitality align with our commitment to providing exceptional service and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests here in the Outer Banks. I have full confidence in their abilities to elevate our offerings and further enhance the reputation of the property"

With over two decades of hospitality experience and a proven track record of driving revenue growth and brand visibility, Brewer has held key leadership roles in prestigious hotel management companies and resorts such as Marriott, Hilton, and Crestline Hotels & Resorts. Notably, as the Market Director of Sales, Revenue & Marketing at White Lodging's Marriott Cluster in Richmond, VA, she led a successful sales team, surpassing revenue targets by 46% and spearheading the implementation of transformative processes. Brewer's expertise extends to business development consultancy, where she advised on operations, sales, and marketing strategies for prominent properties like Autograph Union Station Nashville Yards and Hyatt Regency Westlake Village.

"I am honored to join the exceptional team at Sanderling Resort," said Brewer. "With its breathtaking setting and unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction, Sanderling represents the epitome of luxury hospitality. I look forward to leveraging my experience and expertise to showcase the resort's unique offerings and drive continued success."

In her role as Director of Sales & Marketing, Brewer will spearhead strategic sales and marketing efforts to maximize revenue opportunities and enhance brand awareness. Meanwhile, as Executive Chef, Amy DiBiase will oversee all culinary operations at Sanderling Resort, including the resort's three dining venues: Lifesaving Station, Kimball's Kitchen, and Sandbar.

Celebrated for her contemporary interpretation of classic dishes, Chef DiBiase brings over two decades of culinary excellence and innovation to Sanderling Resort with a deep understanding of French, Italian, Spanish, Mexican, and Hawaiian cuisines. From a young age, Chef DiBiase learned the intricacies of cooking from her Italian grandmother and working alongside her mother in their family restaurants in Maine. After receiving her double major in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University, Amy swiftly ascended from roles like Chef de Cuisine at Laurel Restaurant & Bar to Executive Chef at Tidal Restaurant, where she redefined the dining experience at Paradise Point Resort in San Diego. Notable achievements include her tenure as Executive Chef at the InterContinental Hotel San Diego, where she led the conceptualization of Vistal Bar & Restaurant, and her most recent position as the culinary head of the Grand Restaurant Group, overseeing a diverse portfolio of eateries including Bellamy's, Nick & G's, and Giaola Italian Kitchen.

"My culinary journey has been defined by a passion for creating memorable dining experiences, and I look forward to crafting elevated menus that showcase the vibrant flavors of the Outer Banks while embracing sustainable practices at Sanderling Resort," said Chef DiBiase.

Together, Brewer and Chef DiBiase will collaborate seamlessly, leveraging their respective expertise to create a cohesive and exceptional guest experience. Their combined leadership will drive Sanderling Resort forward, ensuring that it continues to exceed expectations and maintain its position as a preeminent destination for luxury hospitality along the Outer Banks.
