Wayne Morris Named General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans
The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans has announced the appointment of industry veteran, Wayne Morris, to General Manager. Morris' luxury hospitality roots are within The Ritz-Carlton, as he first began his career in 2000 on Canal Street at the beloved French Quarter hotel, and later spent over 8 years with the brand. More than two decades later, Morris will lead The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans into its next era as the hotel anticipates a milestone 25th anniversary in 2025.
As General Manager, Morris will oversee all aspects of the hotel's operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, hospitality and guest satisfaction, alongside the day-to-day operations and growth of its Ladies & Gentlemen. Throughout his career, he has played an integral role in several Ritz-Carlton properties including Aspen Highlands, Sarasota, South Beach, and Reynolds Lake Oconee, strengthening each hotels' position as premier luxury destinations in their respective markets. Morris looks forward to doing the same within New Orleans' competitive luxury hotel scene, while maintaining The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans' legacy of exceptional hospitality.

Most recently, Morris served as Vice President of the Health and Wellness Division at Ochsner Health, the largest health system in Louisiana. During his tenure, he spearheaded several corporate initiatives such as "Best Place to Work" programs and developed new business and service lines, increasing revenues by over $150 million. Morris holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree from The University of Southern Mississippi. Beyond his professional achievements, he is passionate about philanthropy, and he serves on multiple boards and committees to raise funds to fight against heart disease.
