Banyan Tree Group Appoints Ximena Dipp as General Manager of Banyan Tree Veya, Valle De Guadalupe
Banyan Tree Group, one of the world's leading independent, multi-branded hospitality groups is pleased to announce the appointment of Ximena Dipp as the general manager of Banyan Tree Veya, Valle de Guadalupe, scheduled to open Q1 2024. With over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, Dipp brings a wealth of expertise, interpersonal skills and global perspective to her new role as General Manager at the wellness-centric resort nestled in the hills of Baja California, located just 90 minutes from the U.S. border.
"We are pleased to have Ximena join our team and look forward to her leadership as we set out to expand the Banyan Tree Veya brand with its second location in the world and the first in the Americas," shares Sergio Serra, assistant vice president and regional director of the Americas, Middle East, Europe & Africa for Banyan Tree Group. "Ximena's background in eco-luxury and bespoke travel in Latin America combined with her keen perspective on the luxury guest experience and compassionate focus on the local community makes her a fitting leader for what's sure to be a leading hotel in the destination."
Dipp's passion for the travel industry was ignited at a young age, having grown up in Mexico and going on to study in Germany before completing her degree in Hotel Management at Gilion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland - thus equipping her with international interpersonal skills and an impressive language ability in Spanish, English, French, and German. After beginning her career at Star Clipper Cruises in Monaco where she further developed her love for luxury hospitality and the guest experience, she began work for Awasi — a collection of three small Relais & Châteaux luxury lodges in Chile. Over the course of three years there, she quickly became an integral member of the Awasi Patagonia - Relais & Châteaux opening team as the Resident Manager. Further experience includes management roles at Latin American luxury properties including Hotel AWA and The Singular Patagonia Puerto Bories.
"Banyan Tree Veya, Valle de Guadalupe will be a destination-defining opening and it's an absolute privilege to be a part of it," shares Dipp. "Being from Mexico, I'm especially proud to see Valle de Guadalupe making its mark as a highly sought-after international destination boasting dynamic wineries, extraordinary culinary exploits and a picture-perfect setting. I'm thrilled to be leading a multicultural and highly engaged team in the opening of this wellness-centric resort come Q1 2024."
As General Manager of Banyan Tree Veya, Valle de Guadalupe, Ximena Dipp will oversee all aspects of the pre-opening logistics and development of the hotel opening and executive team. She looks forward to creating unforgettable experiences for travelers in a unique luxury setting while also aiding in the training and development of the talented internal team behind the internationally renowned Banyan Tree Veya brand planting its flag in the enchanting hills of Valle de Guadalupe.
