Avocet Hospitality Appoints General Managers for Three Southeast Hotels

Carley Ford, General Manager, The Vendue (Charleston, SC)
Carley Ford has been with Avocet Hospitality since 2021 and has recently been appointed General Manager at The Vendue in Charleston. In this new role, she is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the property, including the current renovation and reimagination of 26 Vendue, one of the two buildings that make up The Vendue hotel, as well as its award-winning rooftop bar, fine dining restaurant Revival and the property's gallery spaces, which hold over 200 rotating pieces of artwork on display. Prior to working at The Vendue, Ford was the General Manager of Tides Folly Beach, Avocet's beachfront property in Folly Beach, SC. Carley is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment among the hotel's departments, promoting teamwork and overall cohesion throughout the property.
Nathan Foster, General Manager, Tides Folly Beach (Folly Beach, SC)
Foster was appointed General Manager of Tides Folly Beach in June 2023. In his role, he oversees daily operations of the 134 key hotel, BLU Beach Bar & Grill at Tides Folly Beach, and Pier 101 Restaurant & Bar. Prior to joining the team at Tides Folly Beach, Nathan worked at The Charleston Place Hotel for nearly 20 years where he first served as a Room Service Manager, and grew through the roles of Assistant Food and Beverage Director, Front Office Manager and Director of Housekeeping. It is important to Nathan to bring his passion for leadership to the hotel everyday, and to create an environment that fosters and supports his colleagues' strengths, creativity and being the best version of themselves.
Terell Ham, General Manager, The Admiral (Mobile, AL)
Ham has been with Avocet Hospitality since 2014, working his way through positions including Restaurant General Manager, Food & Beverage Director, Assistant General Manager and in June 2023, he was appointed General Manager of The Admiral hotel in Mobile, Alabama. His first project will be to oversee a property-wide renovation that will introduce a new, vibrant hotel to the city with a design that pays homage to Mobile's storied history. Prior to making the move to Mobile, Ham worked at The Vendue, Avocet Hospitality's hotel in Charleston, where he held the role of Assistant General Manager. In this position, Ham oversaw food and beverage operations and assisted in implementing the unique Guest Experience Manager (GEMs) program. Known for his creativity and passion, Ham embodies the spirited Avocet Hospitality mentality and is eager to bring this energy to this newly reimagined hotel.
