Renovations Completed at Windsor Embassy Suites Colorado Springs

. October 14, 2008

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, September 21, 2006. After months of intensive work, WHG is ready to lift the curtain on its newly renovated 206-suite Embassy Suites Colorado Springs. This property was the company's first hotel when it entered the hospitality industry 23 years ago. It is one mile from WHG Founder Patrick Nesbitt's alma mater, the United States Air Force Academy. Thus this property is endowed with a special significance both to the company and its founder.

"It was very important to all of us to make this property's renovation spectacular," says General Manager Jackie Duff. "We wanted it to provide all of our guests with the amenities and services our guests expect from us, but we wanted it to stay true to the area. To convey who we are here in Colorado Springs."

WHG began their $8.5 million extensive renovation at the porte-coch`ere, adding strong new timber beams, crowned with an elegant copper roof and new clock tower. Immediately inside that entry, guests will find a welcoming stack-stone fireplace in the lobby flanked by oversized leather chairs.

In each of the guestrooms, WHG upgraded the bedding with the new Embassy Essentials package, which consists of brand new Serta Suite Dreams " mattresses, box springs, triple sheeting, decorative pillows and a few other accents. All of the hotel's two-room suites include a separate living area with a sofa bed, a private bedroom featuring the new bedding package and an updated bathroom, with granite surround showers, flooring and countertops. New sinks, elegant fixtures, rainwater showerheads and hand-held hair dryers help guests feel at home, as if they had customized their bathroom. Each room has new 32-inch televisions, high-speed internet access, two dual-line phones with voicemail, a wet bar, a refrigerator, a microwave oven and a work desk.

Duff explains, "Our spacious suites have an added appeal to business travelers, because they now offer more space to work and relax than the average one-room hotel accommodations in the local market. Families will also continue to enjoy spreading out within the two separate rooms."

One entirely new feature at the Embassy Suites Colorado Springs is the 600 square-foot exercise facility with new Precor equipment and a top-of-the-line flat screen television. While they were at it, WHG refurbished the pool and breakfast areas and the property's in-house restaurant. Duff says, "These upgrades will make our enhanced complimentary cooked-to-order breakfasts and our Manager's Reception each evening that much more enjoyable."

WHG included in this renovation a complete upgrade to the hotel's 7,031 square-feet of meeting space. They have hung tasteful new wall coverings and installed new carpets, lighting and air walls. WHG and the property team now boast their newly- added Front Range Room and Summit Conference Suite, which provide 650 square-feet more of meeting and pre-function space. "It's exciting to be able to host larger functions and offer intimate settings based on the customers' needs," Duff says.

As a finishing touch, for optimal guest convenience, WHG installed Embassy Direct Registration Kiosks" to make check-ins more efficient.

"This hotel has always provided guests with superior accommodations," says Duff. "Many of our guestrooms have views of Pike's Peak and the Colorado Rocky Mountains that are difficult to replicate in the prettiest postcards. Now, the guestrooms and all of our renovations carry the essence of the area into every element of our guests' stay."
