Hoteles City Express Opens New City Express Suites Tijuana Rio in Mexico and City Express Santiago Aeropuerto in Chile
MEXICO CITY, MX. August 3, 2016 - Hoteles City Express S.A.B. de C.V. ("Hoteles City Express" or "the Company") (BMV: HCITY), announces the opening of two new hotels: City Express Suites Tijuana Rio in Mexico and City Express Santiago Aeropuerto in Chile. With these openings, the Company reaches 113 hotels in operation and 12,682 rooms to lodge travelers in 61 cities in 29 states of Mexico, as well as in Colombia, Costa Rica, and Chile.
City Express Suites Tijuana Rio - with 79 available rooms - operates under a management contract and extends the City Express Suites brand in the largest market in the state of Baja California. Tijuana is characterized by strong occupancy levels and diverse demand generators, including industry, maquila, services, commerce and tourism.
The opening of City Express Santiago Aeropuerto consolidates the Company's expansion plans outside Mexico. This co-owned property, with 142 available rooms, will be focused on meeting lodging demand linked to the international airport and industrial parks in the surrounding areas.
