International Hospitality Enterprises Makes 3 Executive Appointments for 3 Puerto Rico Hotels
San Juan, PR - July 9, 2014 - International Hospitality Enterprises (IHE) today announced exciting staffing changes at three of its esteemed properties. Alfredo Arroyo has been appointed General Manager of Hotel El Convento in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, replacing Efrain Rosa as Rosa advances to his new role as Hotel Manager of the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel. Additionally, Jomarie Arturet has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at Copamarina Beach Resort, in the seaside town of Guanica on Puerto Rico's southwestern coast.

Alfredo Arroyo, General Manager of Hotel El Convento
At El Convento, Arroyo is tasked with overseeing all hotel operations, including staff management, recruitment and development, training, scheduling and preparation of annual budgets, communicating with guests and outside vendors, building community relations, and other daily operational tasks.
Prior to his position at El Convento, Arroyo served as the Food & Beverage Director at La Concha Resort, another IHE property in the Condado district of San Juan. Arroyo first joined IHE in 2006 when he was hired as Assistant to the General Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde and has continued to succeed in a variety of roles within the hotel group. Arroyo began his career at the Hotel San Juan in the banquets department and worked his way up to Food & Beverage Director, holding this position at several key hotels in Puerto Rico. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Puerto Rico.
Efrain Rosa, Hotel Manager of Condado Vanderbilt Hotel
As Hotel Manager of the Condado Vanderbilt, Rosa is responsible for preopening activities leading up to the December 2014 debut of the hotel, which will include 319 guestrooms, a spa, two pools, including an infinity pool, and a second restaurant. He will also be in charge of hotel operations including hiring and training, as well as the setting and implementation of standard operating procedures in various departments of the hotel.
With more than 25 years in the hospitality industry, Rosa has held positions ranging from Luggage Porter at the Greenville Spartanburg Airport Marriott to Assistant Executive Housekeeper at the Condado Plaza Hotel and Casino. Rosa joined IHE in 2002 on the pre-opening team of the Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde, and subsequently was named Assistant General Manager, a post he held until being named General Manager of El Convento in 2004. He holds a BA in Business Administration and Commercial Aviation from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC.
Jomarie Arturet, Director of Sales and Marketing at Copamarina Beach Resort
In Guanica, Jomarie, as the new Director of Sales & Marketing at Copamarina, will create and oversee the hotel's annual business and marketing plans, coordinate sales activities throughout the resort, work to maximize hotel revenue and expand corporate accounts, and develop marketing and sales campaigns.
With 12 years in hospitality sales and marketing, Jomarie has an excellent track record of developing and implementing successful strategies aimed at increasing group sales revenues. Jomarie's previous positions include Director of National Accounts at El Conquistador Resort and Las Casitas Village-both Waldorf Astoria™ Resorts, Senior Cluster Sales Manager for the Hilton San Juan, and Sales Manager at EI Conquistador Golf Resort & Casino, among others. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration from the Universidad de Puerto Rico.
