Main Street Hospitality Group Assumes Management of The Williams Inn

Stockbridge, MA - May 27, 2014 - Main Street Hospitality Group officially assumes management of The Williams Inn, located in Williamstown, Mass., this month. Williams College purchased the Inn from Carl and Marilyn Faulkner. The college hired Main Street Hospitality Group to manage the property.

The 124 room inn offers four meeting spaces, a restaurant, bar and indoor pool. The Williams Inn is a short walk to historic downtown Williamstown and is surrounded by world-class art museums, theater and music festivals, and renowned historic sites. The inn is a short distance to The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, Williamstown Theatre Festival and many natural attractions including the Appalachian Trail.

The Red Lion Inn's Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage, Brian J. Alberg worked with The Williams Inn culinary team to introduce new menus, featuring innovative American cuisine focused on local regional ingredients. Chef Alberg brings experience, insight and a strong food philosophy. A member of the James Beard Foundation, Chef Alberg is dedicated to working with local farms and producers to provide guests with outstanding cuisine.

Finn adds that one of their first steps in updating the inn will be talent-focused. “We are actively hiring in many departments, to complement our existing staff.”

Main Street Hospitality Group will be hiring for several positions at The Williams Inn. Roles they are looking to fill include: Dining Room Supervisor, Dining Room Manager, Server, Bartender, Dining Room Host, Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Manager, Sales Manager, Line Cooks, Room Attendants and House Persons.
