Hilton Garden Inn Riga Valdemara Announced for 2016 In Latvia

May 16, 2014 - Expected to be completed in early 2016, the 139 guestroom Hilton Garden Inn Riga Valdemara will be operated by SIA D.N.H. The hotel will offer picturesque views of Riga's Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which this year celebrates European Capital of Culture status together with Umea, Sweden.

Travelers to Latvia will soon be able to experience award winning Hilton Garden Inn hospitality as Hilton Worldwide announced its intention to launch the mid-market brand in the country's capital city of Riga.

Expected to be completed in early 2016, the 139 guestroom Hilton Garden Inn Riga Valdemara will be operated by SIA D.N.H. The hotel will offer picturesque views of Riga's Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which this year celebrates European Capital of Culture status together with Umea, Sweden.

With its striking design concept in the shape of a nine story tower, the newly built hotel will form a eye catching landmark for visitors entering Riga via the Krisjana Valdemara Iela main road which connects the city with Riga International Airport. Its location will offer optimum accessibility combined access to the historic Old Town, which lies a short distance away across the Daugava river. The city is renowned for its diverse architecture from medieval cathedrals to the widespread Art Nouveau style adopted at the turn of the century.

The hotel will also benefit from its close proximity to the Kipsala International Exhibition Centre, the largest of its kind in the Baltic region. The complex boasts over 10,000 sqm of meeting space and is a regular venue for regional trade fairs and conferences whilst also acting as an entertainment venue which has played host to the likes of Les Miserables and Def Leppard. Guests at Hilton Garden Inn Riga Valdemara will be within 750m of the facility and directly opposite the headquarters of Latvia's National Bank.

Amongst the facilities guests will be able to expect at Hilton Garden Inn Riga Valdemara include an all-day restaurant and bar as well as up to 140sqm available as meeting space. The brand's full range of standard features, such as free Wi-Fi and 24hr access to the gym, business centre and Pavilion pantry snack bar will all be provided.
