Starwood Appoints Anthony Ingham to Oversee St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels and Le Meridien

November 25, 2013 - Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has announced the appointment of Anthony Ingham as Vice President, North America Brand Management, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels Worldwide and Le Meridien. With more than 13 years of luxury lifestyle brand management experience, Ingham spent the past three years overseeing the strategic and creative direction, guest experience and overall performance of these brands in the European, African and Middle Eastern (EAME) markets.

In his new role, Ingham will oversee the strategic direction for more than 60 hotels and resorts among the St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels and Le Meridien brands in North America. He will lead the communication strategies and guest experience standards as well as the creative programming that bring each brand to life with distinct propositions. With Le Meridien seeing a year of unprecedented growth with more than ten North America hotels in the pipeline, Ingham will continue to grow the contemporary lifestyle brand. He will continue to develop the W portfolio in North America with cutting-edge renovations and innovative initiatives as well as repositioning a new era of glamour at The St. Regis New York following a multi-million dollar renovation.

During his tenure in EAME, Ingham was responsible for opening 20 new hotels and resorts throughout the division, including W Leicester Square, London; three St. Regis hotels in the Middle East and the brand's debut in Africa with The St. Regis Mauritius Resort; seven hotels that became part of The Luxury Collection portfolio, and three that joined Le Meridien, including the brand's debut in Istanbul. He executed the holistic marketing strategy that supported Starwood and its owners' $200 million investment to renovate and restore some of its most celebrated hotels in Europe within The Luxury Collection portfolio: The Gritti Palace, Venice; Hotel Alfonso XIII, Seville; Maria Cristina, San Sebastian; and the Prince de Galles, Paris. He spearhead pivotal partnerships for the W brand within design, fashion and music in Europe, further cementing W as a global design powerhouse that redefines the contemporary luxury hotel experience. With Le Meridien, Ingham successfully led strategic marketing campaigns and partnerships, including the recently launched UNLOCK ART film series created in partnership with Le Meridien Piccadilly's UNLOCK ART partner TATE.

Ingham joined Starwood from InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) where he held a variety of sales, marketing and guest experience roles in the company's Asia Pacific region as well as the global corporate offices in the United Kingdom. In his previous role at IHG, Ingham led the development, implementation and quality control of the branded guest experience for more than 160 luxury InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in over 60 countries around the world.

Ingham graduated from the University of Bath with Honours in Business Administration.
