ATLANTIC BEACH, FL - October 25, 2013 - One Ocean Resort & Spa - Northeast Florida's chic beachfront boutique resort, located in Atlantic Beach - announces the promotion of Traci Meyer to director of sales. With more than 13 years of experience in sales and marketing, Meyer has proven herself as a rising key player in the hotel and resort industry. In her new position Meyer will be accountable for developing comprehensive sales strategies and overseeing the complete Sales, Catering & Convention Services Department's management of group business.

Meyer has been on the fast track at One Ocean Resort & Spa over the past eight years, joining the resort as national account manager and corporate sales representative during its opening in 2005. In four short years, Meyer played a key role in opening the resort, developing strategies and budgets and earning the position of associate director of sales in 2012. Before being promoted to director of sales, Meyer maintained the number one position out of 174 total open positions within the Remington portfolio for 11 out of 12 months.

Prior to joining the One Ocean family, Meyer previously served as local account manager and corporate sales representative at Omni Hotels in Jacksonville, Fla. Meyer also has experience as group sales representative at Sheraton Hotels in Maitland, Fla., where she raised territory growth and consistently attained more than 101% to quota.

Meyer attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication while exhibiting her competitive spirit on the university's nationally ranked cheerleading team. Throughout her career she has earned multiple distinctions, including the Pinnacle Club Award and General Manager's Outstanding Performance Award and Hospitality Hero Award based on customer service and team sales approach. She is a current member of the Financial Insurance Conference Planners.
