. September 26, 2013

September 26, 2013 - Catherine Chaulet , who recently was appointed President of GEP Destination Management, has risen to the post of President of Krisam Group and Global Events Partners (GEP) to oversee the organization during a time of critical transition, significant growth, and international expansion, Chris White, Chairman and CEO of Krisam and GEP, announced today.

Krisam is the largest independent national sales office for over 250 hotels and resorts worldwide and GEP is the leading partnership of destination management companies (DMCs) with 65 hand-picked DMCs covering 97 destinations worldwide. No other organization in the meetings industry offers planners such a comprehensive range of superior services for all their needs - hotels, DMCs, marketing, and production.

“Catherine is the perfect person to guide us during this period of growth and transition,” White said, “with her entrepreneurial background, her keen business sense, and natural passion for the best in customer service. She has the proven ability to oversee the business side of things while also focusing on company growth, ensuring a strong sales organization, and strengthening our relationship with our customers, Krisam Members, and GEP Partners. She will be aided by our 19 experienced, dedicated representatives who form the best team in the business and have made us the industry leader we are today.”

“Catherine will be in good hands during this transition phase,” White continued, “as our recently promoted Chief Operating Officer, Stacy Tischler will play a vital role in bringing Catherine quickly up to speed. Stacy, who has been with us for seven years, has been managing many of the day-to-day operations of both the Krisam membership and the GEP partnership, and all of our marketing efforts.”

“I feel fortunate to have come on board during this exciting transition period,” Chaulet said, “giving me the opportunity to coordinate the strategy, operations, and marketing for the entire organization as it builds for the future and moves forward with an innovative long term strategic plan. Chris and Stacy will be of invaluable service to me as will be the rest of the dynamic and experienced sales team who will continue to deliver the best for our Customers, Members and Partners.”

Chaulet will also continue to serve as president of GEP Destination Management, a collection of branded companies in prime locations in the United States, which are owned by GEP.

She came to GEP from Best of Boston and BostonCoach, where she served as senior vice president of the DMC and of the executive chauffeured transportation company.

Chaulet joined BostonCoach 12 years ago and added responsibilities with Best of Boston 7 years ago when it was purchased by BostonCoach. She was still heavily involved in the transportation company when she began building the DMC into an even more successful organization. Among her responsibilities with BostonCoach was managing worldwide affiliate organizations made up of 450 member companies.

In addition to her meetings industry positions, Chaulet also serves as a French trade advisor (Conseiller au Commerce Exterieur of New England) and is the vice president of the French American Chamber of Commerce in Boston.

She received a degree in Economics from University of Paris X Nanterre in Paris, and an MBA from Simmons Graduate School of Management in Boston, MA.
